Kpelle’s owner and designer Jeanette is the child of two West African parents. She was born in the United States but has always been fascinated by her two cultures. With her parents coming from Liberia, West Africa she has always been captivated by the rich colors and designs. Having spent her childhood in Liberia, Jeanette spent most of her life in the States coming up with new-fashioned and creative ways to embrace all of her.

The Kpelle Tribe, are the largest ethnic group in Liberia and known to be some of the kindness and hardworking people in the region it’s only befitting our shop pays a nod to that great heritage with style and providing beautiful pieces to you. Embracing all of you!!!
